These terms are written to be readable. The short version: use the product for its intended purpose, pay when billing starts, and don't do anything that would get you kicked off Strava or GroupMe. We'll do our best to keep the service running reliably.
By accessing or using Crew Cadence ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). The Service is operated by Solid Spark Ventures LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), a Utah limited liability company.
If you are using the Service on behalf of a team or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that team to these Terms.
Crew Cadence connects to your Strava club, aggregates weekly activity data, and posts a formatted summary to your team's group chat. The service requires active connections to both Strava and a supported messaging platform (currently GroupMe).
We rely on third-party APIs to operate. Changes to Strava's API, GroupMe's API, or their terms of service may affect the Service's functionality. We'll do our best to adapt, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted operation if third-party services change.
Team admin. The person who creates a Crew Cadence team is the team admin. The admin is responsible for the team's subscription, OAuth connections, and GroupMe bot configuration.
Team members. Individual team members may optionally connect their Strava accounts via the universal connect link. By connecting, members authorize Crew Cadence to access their Strava club memberships and basic profile information.
Account security. You're responsible for maintaining the security of your connected accounts. If you believe your connection has been compromised, disconnect immediately through your Strava or GroupMe settings and contact us.
Beta period. During beta, the Service is free. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before billing begins. No credit card is required during beta.
Pricing. After beta, the Service costs $50 per team per year (subject to change with 30 days' notice). This covers the entire team — no per-member fees.
Payment. Subscriptions are billed annually through Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method on file at the start of each billing period.
Cancellation. You can cancel your subscription at any time. The Service will continue through the end of your current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial periods, but we'll make exceptions if something goes wrong on our end.
You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose: delivering automated activity recaps to team group chats. You agree not to:
Use the Service to spam, harass, or send unsolicited messages. Attempt to access other teams' data or interfere with the Service's operation. Reverse-engineer, scrape, or repurpose the Service or its outputs. Violate Strava's or GroupMe's terms of service through your use of Crew Cadence. Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
Our collection and use of data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described therein.
The Service, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is owned by Solid Spark Ventures LLC. Your activity data remains yours — we claim no ownership over your Strava data.
The weekly recap format and message structure are part of the Service. You're welcome to share screenshots of your team's recaps, but you may not replicate the Service itself.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding reliability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Data accuracy. Weekly stats are derived from Strava's API. We aggregate and format this data but don't independently verify it. If Strava's data is wrong, our recap will reflect that.
Availability. We aim for high availability but don't guarantee 100% uptime. Scheduled maintenance, API outages, and unforeseen issues may cause temporary interruptions. We'll communicate planned downtime when possible.
Crew Cadence relies on third-party services including Strava, Inc. and Microsoft Corporation (GroupMe) to operate. These third-party service providers are not parties to this agreement and have no obligation to you under these Terms.
Warranty disclaimer. All warranties on behalf of third-party service providers, including but not limited to Strava, Inc. and Microsoft Corporation (GroupMe), are hereby disclaimed. This includes any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Liability exclusion. Third-party service providers, including Strava, Inc. and Microsoft Corporation (GroupMe), are excluded from all liability for any consequential, special, punitive, or indirect damages arising from your use of the Service, regardless of the form of action or theory of liability.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Solid Spark Ventures LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claims arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, with reasonable notice when possible. You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and disconnecting your OAuth connections.
Upon termination, your data will be handled according to the retention schedule described in our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Utah.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll notify you by email and update the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
